We’re hiring
In-house Miniature Painter
We’re having too much fun and starting too many epic projects, and right now our brushes are stretched thin. So we’re looking for a world-class miniature painter to join the Squidmar Miniatures core team. Someone who represents our quality, taste, and philosophy in every model they paint.
With upcoming board games, RPGs, and bigger video projects, you’ll be painting for products, showcases, internal projects and, hopefully over time, become part of our videos as well. You’ll be a key part of defining how Squidmar Miniatures look going forward.
We are looking for an already experienced painter at a very high level. This is not a training role. We need someone structured, reliable, and versatile. Someone who can paint impactful army and video pieces efficiently, while also having the skill to produce high-end box art quality when the project calls for it.
If you love the craft, care about readability and finish, and want to help shape the future of Squidmar Miniatures, we’d love to hear from you.
Role description
As an in-house miniature painter, you will:
Paint miniatures for Squidmar content and products
Maintain a consistently high standard across different styles and projects
Work closely with creators, sculptors, and product developers
Help test paints, tools, and workflows
Occasionally paint under time pressure, not just for competition pieces
This is not a commission role and not purely a display-painting job. We care about finish, readability, and storytelling, not just technical flexing.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has strong fundamentals and good taste
Can adapt style based on project needs
Is reliable, structured, and finishes what they start
Enjoys learning and improving, not just repeating one style
Has a personality and core values that vibe with those of Squidmar Miniatures.
Is comfortable painting both “hero pieces” and production-level minis.
